THE TOWERS FAMILY SAGA
EPISODE 26
The news hit the family
group chat before Robert
could find the words to
explain. Barbara and
Tyler arrived together,
their faces pale and
eyes red. 'Is it true?'
Barbara asked, dropping
her keys on the table.
'Did Grandpa really dump
toxic waste under a
forest?' Robert looked at
his children, his heart
breaking. The pact
demanded the truth, even
if it poisoned their
memories. 'He did,'
Robert said, his voice
barely audible. 'And I
spent thirty years making
sure no one ever found
it.' Tyler paced the
small room, three steps
each way. 'We're going to
lose everything. Not just
money, but our names.'
'You already lost the
house, Tyler,' Virginia
said firmly. 'Now you're
just losing the illusion
we built.' Bella watched
from the shadows, her
eyes unblinking as the
last of the Towers
prestige dissolved. 'What
happens to James?'
Barbara asked, her voice
trembling. 'James is in
the middle of it because I
put him there,' Robert
admitted. 'He's the only
one who can prove I
knew.' 'Then he should
tell the truth,' Tyler
said, stopping his pacing
to look at his father.
'Even if it means you go
to prison, Dad?' Robert
looked at his son, seeing
the man Tyler had become.
'Especially if it means
that.' The room went
silent as the reality
sank in. The radical
honesty wasn't a gift. It
was a cleansing fire that
burned everything it
touched. 'We can't be the
Towers family anymore,'
Barbara whispered. 'We
have to be something
else.' 'Something real,'
Virginia added. Bella let
out a soft meow and
rubbed against Tyler's
leg. The empire was dead,
but the people were still
standing.
